The Most Hilarious Complaints We've Seen About Item Upgrader

World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items can be used to boost the stats of a particular item. Depending on the upgrade type it can increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, as well as boost other stats.

Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a specific amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increase when it is upgraded. This value is the total of all the leveled up perks (attack, magic attack and defense). Upgrades to items can be costly depending on the upgrader you choose and what type of upgrade you choose to perform. This is due to how many perks need to be replaced to allow the item to be upgraded.

It is also used as a gating requirement while queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It also serves as a gating requirement while waiting for dungeons, scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is restricted to the lower levels). Players can see their average level of item on their character sheet.

The level of an item will allow players to compare the power of equipment when choosing to buy or sell. It's a good gauge of an item's worth and the amount of damage it will be capable of dealing with. Comparing items from the inventory of a seller can be done by using the level of the item.

The item level can be viewed by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the full item description, including its ilvl. It is also accessible by hovering an item with the mouse cursor, and then entering /itemlevel into chat.

There are various theories about how the calculation of the item's level is done. One theory is that the item level is a number that comes from a formula which calculates the amount an item's stats are worth. It considers that different benefits are valued differently and that gems in sockets boost the value of the item. This process can result in a calculated value for the item's ilvl which is typically close to the actual Blizzard level of the item.

However, this is not the only factor that determines the ilvl of an item, as the level of the region the item was dropped in could change the value of its stats, for example by adding an amount to its crit rating or haste rating. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have more value than items dropped in lower-level instances.

Item Stats

Item stats are a big component of what determines the value of an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in various ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the best." The stat mods of a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then increased by a player's level.

The upgrades to an item can increase its stats. The rarity of an item determines the cost of upgrading. For example, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas an item with rare tiers can be upgraded many times at higher prices.

Affixes are another way to alter the stats of an item. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and come in a variety of sizes and shapes. The affixes can provide the item additional damage, or give a specific capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or decreasing the duration of cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding an additional name to the item.

All affixes can be being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. This procedure will cost the player a certain amount of gold and items, which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as the other rerolling options.

In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may select which stats to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However, all items will contain at least one stat within that range unless they are an exclusive item or a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

Another thing that could be changed is the possibility to upgrade equipment without having to roll the attachments, or pick which stats to boost. But, like base equipment, this would have to be carried out on a per-item basis, and the interface for comparing items will not show all the stats that could be that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the chance of finding items and the properties that are created by loot and the strength of these properties. It doesn't, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It simply gives the player a chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game and is thus more useful in the initial game run as opposed to later ones, as most players prioritize greater weapon scaling and defense over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the probability of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability which increases with each item level and can be further increased by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

The shields, armor and weapons have a default Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to give +40 Luck or to increase the existing Luck of an item up to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon that is infused with hollow can also be crafted to increase the damage of any ability that is able to deal damage by 5%. These items can be purchased in the shop, or they can be made using the correct ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items are expensive and not all upgrades will be successful. However, there are some cash shop items which allow players to increase their chances of success or even prevent them from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails.

The rate of success of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI.  item upgrades  is the probability of successfully upgrading the item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special materials. The chance of success can only be increased as much, and the likelihood that an upgrade will fail can't be greater than 100%..

The Luck of an item can influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. Each item has an average success rate of 25 percent, and every item with Luck increases this chance by five percent.

The upgrade overlays of the item are rendered above items in the inventory. This may block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
